Twitter for iPhone is already one of the most popular apps that users access Twitter (next to Twitter.com and mobile.twitter.com). Our official iPad app also offers excellent access to Twitter via the tablet from Apple. Today we introduced some new features that make both apps even better: These include

- photos. Uploading photos is now easier than ever. There is a camera button in the toolbar, and we have improved the image preview, so you still choose one quickly from your Pictures folder or a new shoot can.
- Follow your friends. Now you can find out which of your friends on Twitter is if they have chosen to disclose as your phone book contacts.
- Local trends. Look at trends in your region.
- Shorten Links . If you want to share a link on Twitter to others, just add it in the box on the tweet and we will automatically reduce.
- Tweet-Box Design . We have the window "New Tweet" changed so that it is now cleaner and simpler.
- AutoComplete . If you twitterst on the road, speed and accuracy are important. Automatic completion for @ username and hashtags will help you to tweet faster.

And a very cool update is iPhone specific - yet. We have introduced the quick bar that you a quick overview of trends directly from your timeline. You can use the quick bar to the left or right wipe to see other trends.
